The negotiations of the salaried employees will also continue in October

No agreement was reached on the salary solutions for salaried employees during September. The same had been stated earlier in the negotiations concerning employees in the technology industry.

Negotiations on the senior salaried employees’ and salaried employee’s collective agreement in Technology Industry, consulting service sector, and IT service sector continued on Wednesday and Thursday. However, the views of the parties were still far from each other. The negotiations concern the salary settlement for the year 2023.

- The negotiations have progressed somewhat from the starting pits, and the parties have had constructive discussions. However, there is still a long way to go, says Director Johanna Laine, who leads the negotiations of senior salaried employees in the technology industry and consulting sector.

- The trade unions have started the negotiations with very tough demands even though the economic picture is getting darker. There is a lot to be negotiated to find a common vision, says Mika Lallo, who leads the negotiations of salaried employees in the technology industry and consulting sector, and as well in the IT service sector.

The negotiations for salaried employees will continue in the first or second week of October, depending on the contract sector. If a common vision is not found, both parties have the right to terminate the contract to terminate at the end of November. Any termination must be made no later than October 14.
