No solution on the pay settlements so far

Technology Industry Employers of Finland and the trade unions have not so far reached a solution on the pay settlements for 2023.

The Industrial Union, Trade Union Pro and the Federation of Professional and Managerial Staff YTN and The Association of IT sector Employees have given termination notices for the collective agreements. The collective agreements will no longer be valid after November the 30th 2022.

New meetings have not yet been scheduled, but the negotiations will be continued. The aspiration is to reach a solution as soon as possible. The main challenge is that the parties have very different views on the level of the pay settlement, furthermore the structure of the pay settlement remains subject to negotiations as well.

Since the collective agreements have been terminated, the negotiations can also include so called text questions, meaning possible changes to the provisions of the collective agreement. Until now the negotiations have only been about the pay settlement.

If a solution is not reached by the end on November, the industry will enter a non-contractual status from December the 1st 2022 onwards.
