Strikes threaten the Technology Industry
The Industry Union and Trade Union Pro have announced strike threat to the technology industry that threatens a total of circa 300 industrial, mining, and consulting companies.
The strikes would start on January 14th at 00:00 unless the solution is found concerning the new collective agreements. The strikes would end on January 23rd at midnight.
The Industrial Union also announced the ban for working overtime and shift change together with the strike threat.
The Finnish Electrical Workers´ Union announced strike and ban for overtime work as a support for the Industrial Union.
Jarkko Ruohoniemi, CEO of the Technology Industry Employer’s Association wishes that the solution for the wage settlement could be found as soon as possible. Ruohoniemi adds that the threatened strikes are unfortunate.
Mediation between the Industrial Union and Technology Industry Employer’s Association starts on 4.1.2022.
