Anne Somer is responsible for white collar collective agreements

Anne Somer, Master of Laws, has been selected to lead the Labour, Competence and Innovation unit at Technology Industries of Finland. Somer is currently the Labour Market Director at Finnish Education Employers (FEE), and will start in her new position on 12 July.

Technology Industries of Finland published this appointment bulletin on 7 June 2021.

At Technology Industries of Finland, Somer will lead the Terms of Employment team, be responsible for establishing the organisation’s positions on labour legislation, and influence legislative reforms.

One of the Terms of Employment team’s tasks is to provide expert services to the new association Technology Industry Employers of Finland. Somer will be responsible for this cooperation with regard to national contracts for salaried employees.

Minna Helle, the Deputy CEO of Technology Industries of Finland, is pleased that such a competent and forward-looking person has been appointed to this vacant position. Somer’s background at Finnish Education Employers will also bring added value in matters concerning competence.

“I’m very excited about this new position, in which I’ll be able to promote operating conditions in Finland’s main export sector. Technology Industries of Finland and its member companies have been pioneers in reforming working life and I want to be heavily involved in the renewal of this industry,” says Somer.

Director Johanna Laine will be responsible for promoting company-level collective agreements and providing any required support in this area. She will be leading Technology Industries of Finland’s new company-level collective agreement team.
