The collective agreements in the consulting sector stated generally binding
The collective agreements for both salaried and senior salaried employees in the consulting sector have been declared as generally binding by the General Binding Confirmation Board. The board already took a stand for other collective agreements in the technology industry during spring. Additional explanations were requested for collective agreements in the consulting sector.
In the spring the board stated that the IT service sector’s collective agreement is not generally binding. Other collective agreements in the technology industry were stated as generally binding by the board.
The assessment of the general binding nature of the collective agreement became mandatory since the contracting and negotiating party on the employer side changed. The new association, Technology Industry Employers of Finland, was founded in March 2021 when Technology Industries of Finland decided to give up national collective bargaining.
